On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19, the disease caused by SARS-CoV-2, a pandemic.
As we enter 2020, we are still dealing with the Coronavirus and the new variants with the latest variant being, Omnicom.
As a result, governments have mandated measures including lockdowns to help contain the spread of Coronavirus and the variants.
We have had to deal with change, fear, stress, and the unknown. We had to adapt to new health measures and social behaviours, lockdowns, work-related changes, business model changes and social changes with family, friends and colleagues.
This has been hard on us physically, mentally and spiritually. Our health has been impacted.
It truly is a trying time and it's so easy to lose motivation. Easy to lose sight of our visions, goals and our purpose in life - our "why".
But, we must move forward into 2022 with confidence, hope, and positivity. There is no other alternative. We must develop the will to overcome these pandemic challenges remembering that "this too shall pass".
We must do all we can to keep that "firewithin" burning. Firewithin is that inner drive and burning desire to live, to thrive, to achieve. We all have it within us. For some, the firewithin burns brightly and strongly while for others, it burns dimly and isn't as strong.
How do we keep that firewtihin burning brightly and strongly? We do this by:
- Understanding our purpose and our "why".
- Gaining clarity on what our goals are and what our direction in life is.
- Moving forward with a plan of action to achieve those goals.
- Optimistic about the future, having faith in our abilities, and having a positive attitude.
- Surrounding yourself with other people whose firewithin burns brightly and strongly.
As we work towards keeping our "firewithin" burning brightly and strongly, we automatically inspire and motivate others around us and their firewithin starts to also burn brightly and strongly.
Your family, friends, colleagues, customers and employees need you to keep your fire burning brightly. People around you need optimism, hope and positivity.
And as you move forward into 2022 with a renewed sense of clarity around our goals, our purpose, our why, and what we want to achieve for 2022, we inspire others to not let their fire diminish but rather flourish.
